Religion is for Fools! - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

This is a short, pithy exploration of the world's major religions, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism. What do they claim, and how their claims can be assessed? What can a reasonable layman learn about a "God" or an "afterlife"? A professional comedian, Medley delights in phrases such as "Raiders of the Lost Archaeology" and "The Dead Sea Scrolls - you ain't Essene nothing yet." The witty style and word-plays mask a serious intent. While he had once considered that "religion is for fools", Bill Medley came to believe that the Christian faith alone offers the answers he was seeking. In a series of provocative appendices he takes a shrewd glance at the Bible's authority, cults, the role of women, hell, the unsaved, and suffering.
