The Dambusters Raid - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

This revised edition of "Operation Chastise", published in 1982, has removed the invention and innuendo which has surrounded the dramatic raid of World War II. This investigative historical study and assessment draws upon official papers and meetings with those involved. It sheds light on many aspects of the event, on the bouncing bomb, on a raid on a dam which did not exist, and on the rivalries among the scientists and aviators involved.
