Roman Style (Mosaic Collection S.) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

The Mosaic Collection is a series of themed mosaic project books covering the basic techniques of this fashionable craft. Each book is packed with all the information needed to get started and focuses on six designs for the home and garden. The projects in this book combine the Roman's love of nature with more geometric designs used throughout the Roman world. Colours are either graphic - with black, white and terracotta featured - or soft and muted. Most of the projects are created from traditional materials such as marble, other designs use ceramic tiles and glittering glass which create certain effects. Projects include an elegant table top with a strong graphic design in black and white marble, a wall plaque with a typical Roman of birds and flowers and a water piece with a classic design of two playful dolphins. Step-by-step instructions and photographs for all skill levels together with hints and tips and a fully explained techniques section and re-usable templates make the projects in these books easily achievable.
