This invaluable legislation guide offers timely coverage of a new Act that will transform the landscape of equality and discrimination law. Written by a team of leading barristers from Littleton Chambers, this comprehensive book examines the Act's provisions including: - new provisions on age and disability discrimination - strengthening of employment tribunals' powers - a new integrated equality duty on public bodies - the protection of people from dual discrimination, i.e. direct discrimination because of a combination of two protected characteristics - the use of public procurement to improve equality - banning age discrimination outside the workplace - the requirement to publish gender pay audits - protection of carers from discrimination - clarifying the protection for breastfeeding mothers - banning discrimination in private members' clubs - strengthening protection from discrimination for disabled people. The book provides expert commentary on the provisions and includes the text of the Act itself.
