Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Jonathan Riley-Smith. geb. 1938, ist Professor für Geschichte in Cambridge. Nach dem Studium am Trinity College unterrichtete er unter anderem in St. Andrews und London. Für seine Veröffentlichungen zur Geschichte der Kreuzzüge erhielt er zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen
