The first part of this book looks at why relationships are so important to us and the second section provides the reader with an opportunity to explore relationships they are currently in. In later sections it explores the idea that relationships don't just happen, and looks at the skills required to help develop and maintain good relationships, and, if necessary end them in a positive way. Throughout this workbook there are opportunities for the reader to identify and practise desirable skills. The objectives in this self-help programme are: to explore why relationships are so vital to us; to show that relationships do not simply happen, and that they may be developed; to identify the skills needed to make, maintain and end relationships in a positive way; becoming more aware of skills and ways in which to develop them; identifying skills and strategies for coping with difficult relationships; and provide opportunities to practise desirable skills.
