Mordechai (Moti) Ben-Ari ist emeritierter Professor an der Abteilung für Didaktik der Mathematik und der Naturwissenschafter des Weizmann-Instituts für Wissenschaft in Rechovot, Israel. Er hat zahlreiche Lehrbücher geschrieben, darunter "Mathematical Logic for Computer Science" und "Elements of Robotics" (mit Francesco Mondada), die beide bei Springer erschienen sind. Er wurde mit dem ACM SIGCSE Award for Outstanding Contributions to Computer Science Education und dem ACM Karl V. Karlstrom Outstanding Educator Award ausgezeichnet.

Ada is the programming language of choice for high integrity software systems and is used extensively in industries such as transportation and aerospace. This textbook is intended for experienced programmers (advanced students and practicing software engineers) who need to master software design and programming in Ada.
