Learn how different cultures around the world set out to live in harmony with the natural world in this popular anthology, now in paperback. The seven folk tales are each followed by a hands-on activity that promotes green living and reinforces the eco-messages of the stories. AGES: 5 to 11 AUTHOR: Dawn Casey has always been passionate about traditional tales, believing that folklore can help answer some of the deepest questions about humankind. This is Dawn's second project with Barefoot Books. She is a primary school teacher. Anne Wilson has spent time exploring Southern India and Belize, and has visited Africa several times; all her journeys have helped inspire 'The Barefoot Book of Earth Tales'. She has an MA from St. Martin's College of Art, London, and has been illustrating children's picture books for many years. Anne has illustrated a number of titles for Barefoot Books, including 'Storytim'e and 'We're Roaming through the Rainforest'. Anne lives with her two girls in the UK.

Inspired by everyday objects, Anne Wilson combinies paper collage, mixed colors and a range of printing methods to create her illustrations. She lives in England and has illustrated several children's books including Noah's Ark (08118-35634) for Chronicle Books.
