Meanwhile, Mitchell and O'Keefe look on dispassionately, seemingly unaware of the spiritual journeys undertaken by their 'puppets', but, all-unwittingly, revealing their own, ultimately fatal, weaknesses. In this taut psychological thriller the author raises questions of personal morality and universal ethics. He fearlessly dissects the human condition to show that what truly matters is compassion and honesty, not ambition or mere intellect.
