Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Steven J Zaloga was born in 1952. He received his BA in History from Union College and his MA from Columbia University. He has published numerous books and articles dealing with modern military technology, especially armored vehicle development. His main area of interest is military affairs in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe in World War II, and he has also written extensively on American armored forces. Steven lives and works in Maryland. Tony Bryan is a freelance illustrator of many years' experience who lives and works in Dorset. He initially qualified in Engineering and worked for a number of years in Military Research and Development, and has a keen interest in military hardware - armour, small arms, aircraft and ships. Tony has produced many illustrations for partworks, magazines and books, including a number of titles in the New Vanguard series.

Zaloga (born February 1, 1952) is an American author and defense consultant. He received a bachelor's degree cum laude at Union College and a masters degree at Columbia University, both in history. He has published many books dealing with modern military technology, and especially Soviet and CIS tanks and armored warfare. He is a senior analyst at the Teal Group. He is also a noted scale armor modeler and is a host/moderator of the World War II Allied Discussion group. He is a frequent contributor to the UK-based modeling magazine Military Modelling. He is a member of the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society. Tony Bryan has worked as a freelance illustrator for many years, after initially qualifying in Engineering and working for a number of years in Military Research and Development.
