Inhaltsangabe

Streetwise chancer Fitzroy Maclean Angel’s fashion-designer wife Amy gets him involved in her latest project - working on a big-budget movie being filmed at Pinewood. With his unerring knack of running into trouble, Angel discovers that the mishaps dogging the production are anything but accidental. And the devastatingly handsome star seems especially at risk, from two separate groups of fanatical fans, including his very own internet stalker. Angel is tasked with keeping the star out of harm’s way – and, having incurred the wrath of a vicious Chinese tong member, that isn’t going to be easy …

Telos Publishing is proud to present another in its range of reissues of Mike Ripley’s acclaimed series of comic crime novels – complete with a new, specially-written introduction by the author.

This edition also includes the bonus short story ‘Angel Eyes’, unseen in print since its sole previous publication in 1999.

‘Mayhem blends with gentle satire as the jokes and one-liners cascade among stalkers, internet villains and the obligatory femmes fatales. Farce of the highest calibre.’ - Guardian.

‘High comedy quotient, splendid scams … but [don't] fail to notice what a seriously good writer Ripley is.’ – The Literary Review.
