This book is a brief account of one of Napoleon’s most brilliant victories written in 1827 by an un-named British officer who was attached to the defeated Prussians as an observer. Although lamenting the defeat of Britain’s ally - after which Prussia was compelled to make peace at the French Emperor’s dictation - the officer, an artilleryman, cannot withold his admiration for Napoleon’s military genius. His account is backed by several pages of engraved maps, together with appendices detailing orders of the day, and orders of battle.
