An epic story of murder and mayhem

At the height of their evil reign the Dundon/McCarthy crime family butchered their enemies, their friends and completely innocent civilians alike in an orgy of merciless blood-letting and sheer terror. Such was its bloodlust that the gang earned the nickname, Murder Incorporated.

Now the award-winning crime and investigative journalist, Paul Williams, writes the definitive story of Murder Inc. He chronicles the brutal rise to gangland supremacy of this extended family of criminals and describes how the psychopathic Dundon brothers, in particular, laid siege to a city, from where they coordinated an international criminal empire dealing in drugs and guns.

Murder Inc. reveals how the mobsters staged an underworld coup in a bid to wipe out their opposition - unleashing a decade-long campaign of bombings, shootings, stabbings and arson attacks which claimed over twenty lives, and left scores more scarred and maimed. At the height of the conflagration the ancient city of Limerick was officially classified as one of Europe's most violent cities, with its highest rate of gun-related deaths.

Among the many victims caught in the crossfire was the Collins family and Murder Inc. tells the harrowing story of how this innocent family's world was plunged into chaos and despair the day Wayne Dundon walked into their lives.

Finally, Murder Inc. exposes the inside story of how the gangsters' predilection for extreme violence, combined with the terror they instilled in their own associates, finally led to the gang's implosion and downfall.

Drawing on his vast inside knowledge of the criminal underworld, an unparalleled range of contacts and eye witness interviews, Paul Williams tells the definitive story of an epic fourteen-year battle between the forces of good and evil.
