The little tiger lay on his back in the tall grass. "Close your eyes, little tiger," said his mother, "and go to sleep." When a little tiger does not want to go to sleep, his mother reminds him that by closing his eyes he can enter a whole new world of dreams and make-believe places. And, when he awakens, she reassures him, she will be right there, waiting for him. Georg Hallensleben's lovely vibrant paintings capture perfectly the wide-eyed innocence of the little tiger.
