Maggie Lane is an active committee member of the Jane Austen Society. She has written several highly acclaimed books on the author, including Jane Austen and Food, A Charming Place, Bath in the Life and Novels of Jane Austen, Jane Austen's England, Jane Austen's Family and The Jane Austen Quiz and Puzzle Book. She lives in Bristol.
