Penny Swift began her career as a journalist, and has authored more than 20 books on home-building and repair with her husband, photographer Janek Szymanowski. However, she has always had a passion for horses, and this has grown over the years with her daughter's participation in competitive riding. Penny is the author of The Sporting Horse in Southern Africa, a celebration of equestrian pursuits published in 2001.
