Jim Enticott is a freelance ornithologist, writer and photographer and is a founder member of the British Birds Rarities Committee's Seabird Advisory Panel. He has travelled widely in pursuit of his study of seabird behaviour and distribution, and has undertaken research visits to Antarctica and subantarctic islands in the South Atlantic and southern Indian Ocean. He lives in Cape Town where he runs an Afrotourism birding business. David Tipling is a professional wildlife photographer who runs his own photographic agency, Windrush Photos in Sevenoaks, Kent. He writes regularly for Birdwatching and is the photographer of The National Parks of Britain and Ireland also published by New Holland.
