Aus dem Klappentext

Managing for Value The objective of any company is to create value for its shareholders by maximizing the sum of share prices and dividends. Given the fierce competition in today?s global capital markets businesses have no other choice, and managers have become more and more preoccupied with the preferences of the financial markets, with the way pension funds rank their investments and with the reaction of analysts to changes of strategy. In Europe, in particular, the shareholder value concept continues to be extremely controversial. Managing for Value takes a European perspective and shows that European companies that adopt value management see sales increase at three times the rate of other companies, employ staff twice as quickly and generate six times more cash than average. With a rich variety of examples from a broad range of European companies, Bötzel and Schwilling outline the real value-creating role for managers and entrepreneurs alike. Managing for Value is a practical guide to exponential business growth.
