Happy Yak is a loveable imprint for 0–7-year-olds, perfect for small children with big personalities. Offering pre-school, picture books and illustrated non-fiction, our purpose is to publish playful books that make you smile. All of our books are bright and accessible, with eye-catching design, contemporary illustration and engaging, entertaining text.

Ania Simeone is a freelance children’s illustrator based in Sopot, Poland. She graduated in Literature in Gdansk and spent 10 years in Italy before coming back to her hometown with her husband, daughter, and dog, Leo. She has illustrated children’s books for publishing companies from Poland, Italy, France, and the UK. In her illustrations she tries to capture happy moments, curious and funny glimpses of everyday life. Her vibrant color palettes are inspired by what surrounds her – seasonal vegetables and flowers, secondhand porcelain, her dog’s fur. She works both with traditional techniques (colored pencils and watercolors) and with digital art softwares.
