Dave Rudden is an Irish author and scriptwriter. His bestselling book, Knights of the Borrowed Dark, was Children’s Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards in 2016 and is now a syllabus text for the Junior Cert. His first Dark Isle book, Conn of the Dead, was shortlisted for an An Post Irish Book Award in 2025. He is also the author of three official Doctor Who stories. He is a performer, creative-writing teacher and mentor, and was the 2022 and 2023 Ambassador for Ireland Reads. He is currently Writer-in Residence for the Kids Love Books podcast on RTÉ and at Dublin City University.
