Alison Askew is a retired priest in the Anglican Diocese of Leeds. She served as a hospital chaplain for twenty years, a parish priest for ten years and for the last few years has been full time carer for her elderly Mum.

She has a longstanding involvement with and commitment to the people of The Holy Land, particularly in East Jerusalem and the Bethlehem area where she has many good friends.

The purchase of this book will help pay to sponsor needy but able Palestinian youngsters obtain degrees which otherwise would be an impossibility for them. The Jeel Scholarship Fund is currently sponsoring two youngsters on nursing degrees and one who is training to be a doctor.
