A spooktacularly spooky Halloween book for children by Barry Timms with stunningly-detailed illustrations from rising picture book star, Laura Borio. Books are magic! Bookshops are spectacular! Don't believe us? Join Henry as he helps Griselda Snook on the opening day of her spooky bookshop! From hunting down runaway jack-o'-lanterns to banishing dragons, Henry loves his day spent in Griselda's bookshop, and he especially likes helping booklovers to find their next read. But can Henry find the perfect book for him? With an eyecatching, head-turning orange fluoro pantone ink throughout, this gorgeous book is a celebration of the magic of books and bookshops. Just like Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, Gustavo the Shy Ghost by Flavia Z. Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Barry Timms is an award-winning storyteller who enjoys the way books bring people together. He grew up in the rugged Cornish landscape but now lives by a South London water tower and is a city boy at heart. Barry can often be found with pencil in hand, writing or drawing or both. Barry likes road-trip movies, ghost trains and exploring forgotten side streets.

Laura Borio used to draw on the kitchen walls as a child, to the delight of her parents. Once she realised that she liked drawing on paper more, she decided to become a children's book illustrator, and now her days are filled with sketches, colours, cats and raspberry jam croissants.
