This publication provides an overview of how to set up a fluted point survey. It provides all processes, procedures, and practices for a survey which are based on the McCary Fluted Point Survey® of Virginia. Additionally, it provides an overview of using survey data for archaeological modeling and simulations. Survey data validity, validation, and storage/organization methods are also discussed. Basic recording concepts and ethics are presented throughout the publication. It can also be used for setting up any projectile point dtabase.
