Inhaltsangabe

The activities described in this English teacher's guide are intended to involve pupils emotionally, to appeal to their imagination and inventiveness as way of getting through to their intellect.

The basic idea of the tasks is first to get a particular age group of boys and girls (between 10 and 15) involved in the activities themselves and soon after in the language as well.

Although this book is for English teachers, it may also inspire teachers of other languages.

The 180+ activities and techniques in the book are organised into the following chapters:

- Speaking (English)

- Writing (English)

- Readers

- Becoming aware of grammar

- Vocabulary work

- The Steiner Waldorf school

- Imaginative Teaching

“Read Alec's book, skip those bizarre textbooks and teach from your heart, your mind, your essence.”

Mario Rinvolucri – Pilgrims- UK (Leading English Teacher)

“Teaching English to Teens and Preteens is the perfect English Teacher's "survival guide" designed to appeal to teachers wishing to diversify and experiment. A very inspirational book not only for English teachers!”
