Jesus gives an important message to the seven churches in Asia Minor. These messages serves as an individual evaluation of ones life as a believer. We can find our own strengths and weaknesses as we carefully hear the messages to these churches. John received the messages directly from Jesus while he was on the Isle of Pat-mos on the Lord's day. He saw, He heard and he wrote down the message. Self evaluation is the key to receiving a direct message from Jesus concerning ones own individual life. What he is pleased with and what needs to be corrected in our personal commitment to the Lord. The purpose of this study is not to judge our church, or other churches, but to judge ourselves according to the messages Jesus gave to the seven churches. Even in these passages one can see the Love of Christ and the warnings he is giving in order for his bride to be ready when he returns. Each of these churches is promised a special place in the heavenly Kingdom. Just as we have a special mandate on our life here on earth we also have a special place in the kingdom of heaven, but in order to ensure that we obtain it, we must strive to self-evaluate according to the message that resonates in our spirit as we read the messages given by Jesus to the churches.
