NFS Data Bureau Limited was incorporated on 10 October 2000. Its main object at the time was narrowly conceived to reflect a focus on Nigeria’s financial system (NFS) – how to contribute to improving its workings and performance. Doing so, emphasis was on providing a comprehensive database on Nigeria’s financial system. With such a database, the thinking was that individuals, companies, and organizations would be availed of its resource to pursue their endeavours in the financial services industry. It was not until late 2003 when Leonard Onyiriuba became its chief executive officer that the objects of the company radically changed. The change included redefining the company’s vision, core purpose, and mission to highlight how it should positively impact lives, businesses, and organizations. Presently, NFS Data Bureau Limited functions with a team of consulting enthusiasts. Using NFSafricaTM and RUDiFTM as platforms, the company delivers cutting edge business, financial, and banking research, training, and advisory solutions to clients. It offers exciting, stimulating, and intellectually rewarding calling for upwardly mobile employees. Doing so, it aims to bring about positive changes to life, and in the work of clients. We cherish team spirit, powered by integrity, excellence, and industry. Our inventiveness, competitive skills, and sense of responsibility drive our enterprise. The management of NFS Data Bureau Limited is entrusted to a competent team led by Leonard Onyiriuba. Formerly a university lecturer (1987–1991), and banker (1991–2003), Onyiriuba is also an author. With over 33 years of post–graduation work experience – 5 years of which were gained in senior bank management positions – he provides inspiration and leadership for the team. While in banking, he attained the position of divisional director (corporate banking) before quitting in 2003 to pursue entrepreneurial endeavours. Onyiriuba holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in business administration and finance. He brings the wealth of lessons he learned in his past careers to the company.
