The Guide has been written primarily for students of GCSE English Literature as specified by EDEXCEL in the post-2015 syllabus (1ET0). It addresses the requirement to study one cluster of poems taken from the EDEXCEL/Pearson Poetry Anthology and the requirement to analyse and compare two Unseen poems. These requirements are assessed in Component 2 (19th century Novel and Poetry since 1789), Section B: Poetry, and Section C: Unseen Poetry, of the examination.The Guide aims to address Assessment Objectives AO1, AO2 and AO3 for the examination of this component.
