We have a family tradition during Advent. In December we place Christmas symbols on a wall-hanging of a tree, the Jesse Tree. With each passing day, the tree is filled with ornaments that tell the story of Gods promise to send a Messiah, the Savior. Why is it called the Jesse Tree? Isaiah predicted that the Messiah would come forth from the family tree of King David (whose father was Jesse).
