Gideon gets the case of his life as a six-year associate wanting to make partner. He defends a well-known pharmaceutical company against a whistleblower who claims a drug they marketed is unsafe. As the case unravels, a key company witness is murdered. Gideon eventually discovers the surprising truth, which leads to a suspenseful ending.
