Time to start your art: Learn to paint with passion - Softcover

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

After 37 years in finance, Sue retired and discovered the joy of painting, which has now become her greatest passion. Growing up in the Victorian seaside town of Penarth, Sue married, had two children and now lives in Cardiff. Having bought a small narrowboat, fate played a wild card. Traditional canal art was needed to bring back the boats original character. With no previous art skills, Sue took up the challenge. Successfully painting the boat, she progressed to watercolour art, sketching, botanical art and using inks.Sharing her passion, enthusiasm and knowledge, in November 2021 Sue published "Time To Start Your Art" to encourage others to start painting. She was invited to talk about her art journey which has included exhibitions, competitions, magazine articles and participation in a Digital Art Exhibition in Times Square, NYC which has given great encouragement to others. When asked to run a children's Art Workshop, in the library she frequented as a child, Sue created The Art Family characters. The children had great fun interacting with Smooth, Wobbly, Dash, Spiky, Curly and Dot. Based on the success of the event, Sue decided to write a book, designed to inspire young children to be creative through art.
