John M Smith, BSc (Hons) MSc FIET FBCS CITP CEng, is a Chartered Engineer who studied mechanical and electrical engineering and moved into IT project management and consulting. He is the author of Troubled IT Projects – Prevention and Turnaround (published by the IET) and Tower Bridge London Operations Manual and has published upwards of sixty articles in the model engineering press.
