A young Ghanian girl falls in love and marrys a young Nigerian man who ran away from home as a little boy. The marriage is so blissful that their neighbours envy them. However, the situation takes a turn when the family visits the home country of the Nigerian. An annual vacation due to take one month lasts thirty months as a result of the Nigerian civil war. The cultural and language barrier becomes a potent weapon used by providence to disintegrate this unity. There are twists and there are thorns but can the couple survive in a hazardous environment where people's lives are constantly threatened by hunger and bullet?
