Pilgrim Journeys The Commandments single copy: The Way of Love - 40 days of reflections - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Pilgrim Journeys: The Commandments explores the very heart of Jesus' teaching in 40 short daily reflections for Lent 2024. In three of the four gospels, Jesus is asked which commandment is the most important and answers with two: you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind and strength, and you shall love your neighbour as yourself. We are called into a deep relationship of love with God who has made us, and to live a life of love with our neighbours: those who are like us and those who are not. Pilgrim Journeys: The Commandments will help you explore the practicalities of this Way of Love and the meaning of the commandments for today. Helpful for those new to the Bible, those preparing for baptism or confirmation and those who want to become more Christ-like in all they are and do, it offers something for all. Each day provides you with a short reflection on a Bible reading, an invitation to pray and a suggestion of how you might respond. The Pilgrim Journeys booklets are ideal daily companions for anyone seeking to grow in the Christian faith. They are suitable for those preparing for baptism or confirmation - including those using the Pilgrim discipleship course - but can be used by anyone at any stage of their Christian journey.
