Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Mary Laven is Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Cambridge, UK. She is the author of Virgins of Venice: Enclosed Lives and Broken Vows in the Renaissance Convent (2002) and the co-author, along with Abigail Brundin and Deborah Howard, of The Sacred Home in Renaissance Italy (2018). She is also the co-editor of several books, including Religious Materiality in the Early Modern World (2019; with Suzanna Ivanic and Andrew Morrall), Madonnas and Miracles: The Holy Home in Renaissance Italy (2017; with Maya Corry and Deborah Howard) and Women and Religion in the Atlantic Age, 1550-1900 (2013; with Emily Clark).
