Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Pamela Myles-Hooton is an honorary fellow of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She worked as a cognitive behavioural therapist for over twenty years. For eleven years she was based at the University of Reading where she oversaw the training of hundreds of mental health practitioners to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions for adults, children and young people experiencing common mental health problems. Pamela is author of How to Beat Agoraphobia and co-wrote The CBT Handbook, which has been used by many people to overcome problems with anxiety, depression and anger. She also co-wrote Living Well with Type 2 Diabetes which has been used by many people to better understand, and be empowered to prevent, improve and manage their illness.

Roz Shafran is Professor of Translational Psychology at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. She is a clinical psychologist and has extensive clinical and research expertise in cognitive behavioural theory and treatment of psychological disorders across the age range. She has co-authored three self-help books and one edited book including Overcoming Perfectionism, The CBT Handbook and The Complete CBT Guide for Anxiety; she has written over 250 peer-reviewed publications. She has three children.

Pamela Myles is Director of Training at the Charlie Waller Institute of Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment, University of Reading. Pam's research predominantly focuses on CBT training and supervision. She is the recipient of the University of Reading Teaching and Learning Team Award. Pam also sits on the Scientific Committee for the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.

Roz Shafran is Professor of Translational Psychology at the Institute of Child Health, University College London and founder of the Charlie Waller Institute of Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment. She has over 125 publications. She is the recipient of an award for Distinguished Contributions to Professional Psychology from the British Psychological Society.
