Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Jean Paré, the founder of the world's most popular cookbook company got her start catering for the cowboys, farmers and ranchhands in Vermilion, Albert. So many people asked for her recipes that she published her first cookbook in 1981 at age 53. She oversaw publication of more than 17,000 kitchen-tested recipes and the publication of more than 200 cookbooks with sales of over 30 million copies worldwide. In 2004 she was made a Member of the Order of Canada, which is Canada's highest civilian honour. Duane Radford is a native Albertan who was born in Blairmore in the Crowsnest Pass. He was raised in nearby Bellevue and graduated with a B.Sc. from the University of Calgary; completed a Pre-M.Sc. at the University of Manitoba and an M.Sc. at the University of Calgary. He has a wide knowledge of cowboy lore, has authored many articles and a book on the subject and he has received several national communications awards. He is the Past President of the Outdoor Writers of Canada and currently sits as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
