A southern African perspective on the spread of alien animal species and their effect on local environments, this book offers a broad approach to the subject, increasing its applicability beyond the region. Sure to become a standard reference to the subject, this book will create awareness around alien species both here and abroad. South Africa and Australia are at the forefront of alien-species research and their effects on local environments but this information is locked in journal articles that do not reach the right audience. While the book presents a southern African perspective, it will offer a broad approach to the subject, increasing its applicability beyond our region.. Will be of wide interest: conservationists; farmers; students; gardeners; anglers, and anyone with an interest in the natural world.
