Ryan Ver Berkmoes ha colaborado en más de 110 guías de Lonely Planet. Creció en Santa Cruz, California, antes de marcharse a los 17 años a estudiar en la región del Medio Oeste de EE UU, donde vio la nieve por primera vez.
