Catherine Le Nevez first lived in Paris aged four and she's been returning here at every opportunity since, completing her Doctorate of Creative Arts in Writing, Masters in Professional Writing, and post-grad qualifications in Editing and Publishing along the way. Catherine's writing on Paris includes numerous Lonely Planet guides to the city. Revisiting her favourite Parisian haunts and uncovering new ones is a highlight of this (and every) book. As well as newspaper and radio reportage covering Paris' literary scene, Catherine has authored, co-authored and contributed to dozens of Lonely Planet guidebooks throughout France, Europe and beyond. Month by Month, Like a Local and For Free chapters, and the Drinking & Nightlife, Shopping, Entertainment, and Gay & Lesbian overviews. Christopher Pitts has lived in Paris since 2001. He first started writing about the city as a means to buy baguettes - and to impress a certain Parisian (it worked, they're now married with two kids). Over the part decade he has written for various publications, in addition to working as a translator and editor, Chris also wrote the Museums & Galleries, Eating, and Sports & Activities overviews, and the Transport and Directory chapters. Nicola Williams has lived in France and written about it for more than a decade. From her hillside house on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, it's an easy hop to Paris where she has spent endless years revelling in its extraordinary art, architecture and cuisine. Resisting the urge to splurge in every boutique she passed while walking the streets of the Marais was this trip's challenge. Nicola also wrote the With Kids chapter and the Understand section.
