Presented in the style of an art book, this landmark publication features a substantial introduction by Chris Fallows, one of the world's foremost experts on the species, and short, powerful narratives interwoven with the images.
Biografía del autor:
A dedicated wildlife naturalist and photographer, Chris Fallows is passionate about sharks. From the early days - rubbing shoulders with the magnificant flying great whites from his tiny inflatable boat off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa - Chris has been a true pioneer. With no formal education in the field but a genuine love for the great fish, Chris has been at the forefront of new discoveries of shark behaviour. For 13 years Chris and wife Monique have been sharing their admiration for the great whites and other sharks with the public through their shark expedition company. Always with the greatest respect for the spectacular ecosystem in which they work, Chris and Monique aim to promote awareness and understanding of this misunderstood predator, and help conserve a species that is in danger of being wiped out. Chris and Monique's extensive work with, and knowledge of, sharks has led to them hosting high-rating films and documentaries, including the Discovery Channel's Air Jaws and Air Jaws II, the BBC's Planet Earth series among others, 60 Minutes, documentaries by National Geographic, and many more. Chris's groundbreaking photographs of breaching and hunting great white sharks have graced newspapers and magazines around the world. Chris and Monique live in Cape Town.
