Far From Over - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

A novel inspired by the 1659 witch trials in Dumfries, Scotland.

They can’t forgive. They can’t forget. Only Anna can help them rest in peace at last.

Anna has found out who the ghosts at Nuns’ Kirk Haugh Hotel are – getting rid of them is something else. The ghost of Hugh Ferguson won’t leave until Gideon Corsan’s does, because Gideon was party to the persecution and death of Hugh’s mother, along with others, in the terrible witch trial of 1659 in Dumfries. The ghosts of those women still linger in the remains of the old kirk in the hotel’s grounds, troubling no one, but unable to rest. Gideon, on the other hand, is a menace, and for the sake of their guests, Anna, Cameron and Gary need him gone.

Yet the ghosts aren’t the only ones with troubled pasts. Anna’s may have receded, but Cameron’s is waiting to waylay him at the worst possible moment, and he’ll need Anna’s help to settle it. Calling in Anna’s psychic aunt, Rita, to assist with the ghosts, the only way they can see to understand the past is to delve into the lives of those involved, but does that way lie danger for Anna? What is her connection to the two male ghosts and some of the women, and is she why they suddenly became more active after her arrival?

This captivating time-slip novel of the past calling to the present in a family is perfect for fans of Rachel Burton, Irina Shapiro, Christina Courtenay, Callie Langridge, and Louisa Douglas.
Far From Over is the second of a duo of novels telling Anna’s story which started in The Unquiet Stairs.
