Magic is reborn. War is coming. A series of natural disasters threatens to destroy the world. 16-year-old Jet Black begins his sophomore year at Chadwick's boarding school with a bang. He's attacked by a magical being, nearly falls to his death, and an ancient book opens at his touch, becoming his mentor. He reluctantly agrees to lead Elemental Magic. Long ago, magic was widespread and prominent, but deception, rebellion, and a civil war led to its disappearance. The leader of the insurrection, the Demon Prince, was imprisoned. The prison is about to fall. At Chadwick's, Jet learns that another student, his nemesis Shane Fallon, is learning Runic Magic and has an ancient book of his own. Worlds collide as Jet must tell his friends about magic and convince them to search for an artifact that can save them all. The adventure uncovers important friendships, clean romance, mythical creatures, and the saga of a lifetime. Path of the Phoenix is the first book in The Sorcerer's Guide Series. This series blends the excitement of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, National Treasure, and more. Start your journey today!

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

I'm Logan Clark, but you can find me under L. Scott Clark. I am the author of The Sorcerer Guide Series and am currently working to finish this book series. It has been such a blast writing these seven books, and I am excited about some future projects.I have always been intrigued by the magical world surrounding each of us. My novels are influenced by the incredible beauty of nature, the vastness of our world, and the psychological complexities between each of us. I grew up reading, writing, and enjoying books from multiple genres. When reading, I fixate on one genre for a while, then switch to something new. I began writing in high school and couldn't put a book down for many years. I had to force myself to stop reading in college as I tended to forget my studies.I was born and raised in Colorado and lived there until life took me to explore another country and later start college. I have a degree in Biology with a minor in French. I continued with my Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and have worked for 20+ years in the medical field, including correctional medicine as a PA and Geriatrics as a CNA. My wife and family now live in Utah, which is similar to Colorado and slightly less crowded. I deeply love nature, mountains, oceans, and the sense of adventure that awaits us each time we step outside.
