"The DILF Handbook replaces silence with language, and isolation with support, so new dads don't have to carry the hardest parts of early parenthood alone. Not because dads need to be rescued. Because they deserve support, too." —FORBES
Beyond the comedic title, The DILF (Dad I’d Like to… Friend) Handbook is a vital resource for the parts of fatherhood no one warns you about. Grounded in research, real stories and proven strategies, it’s a sanity-saving guide that shatters the most dangerous myths of fatherhood — from “there’s no room for mistakes as a parent” to “you will feel an instant bond with your baby.”
Here’s the truth: there is an endless amount of advice once you enter the world of parenthood, and most of that advice will center around your children. However, there are a number of other pivotal areas that will significantly impact your experience as a new parent, yet are all too-often ignored. What rarely gets discussed are the parts of your life that quietly shift: your relationships, your sense of self, and the support you need to show up fully for your family.
Consider this book a trusted companion for your parenting journey: offering guidance, reassurance, and tools to help you grow into a patient, present, actively engaged dad anyone would like to… friend.
Whether you’re a first-time dad or buying a gift for one, this book provides the tools needed to help dads to not simply survive, but thrive… all so they can better support their partners, their children and themselves.

KEVIN SELDON is a father, husband, author, and founder of a leading brand strategy consultancy within the social impact space. His clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies and award-winning artists to world-renowned nonprofits. However, after five years of struggling to fulfill a lifelong dream of starting a family, he was left a bit broken. So, when he and his wife finally found themselves expecting, he took an extended hiatus from the firm he founded to better support his growing family and bond with his newborn son. He expected the experience to be exhilarating yet exhausting, but was shocked at the lack of support available to dads who seemed to be completely excluded from parenting culture. In response to the isolation he felt, he created the celebrated parenting podcast, DILF (as in: Dad I'd Like To... FRIEND) - which has since broken onto Apple's Top Parenting Podcast charts across the globe, while hitting #6 on the US charts. Kevin's work with DILF has been featured everywhere from People Magazine and Forbes to The New York Times. What began as a simple forum to build a support network of dads Kevin would want to... friend, has evolved into a nonprofit called Dads Supporting Dads with one of the largest dad communities in the United States. Kevin resides in Los Angeles, CA with his beautiful wife and son, who taught him that the best things in life... are worth the wait.
