Christopher Cox is the author of the Quantum Trek series, a science fantasy adventure series for teen and young adult readers. His debut novel, Hunt for the Fallen Star, draws on a lifetime of adventure, travel, and martial arts training. Cox spent six years living in Chile, where travel through South America - including a visit to Machu Picchu - ignited a lifelong fascination with ancient civilizations and the question of what extraordinary secrets they might hold. He has since lived on three continents, visited the Gobi Desert, and walked portions of the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City. A commercially certificated helicopter pilot, Cox brings firsthand knowledge of flight and aircraft controls to his fiction. He holds a black belt in traditional taekwondo and a second-degree black belt in Haidong Gumdo, a Korean sword style, and draws on his martial arts training to choreograph the combat sequences in his novels. The Night Blade - the legendary weapon central to the Quantum Trek series - is modeled after his own personal sword, with his name engraved on the blade. Cox writes clean adventure fiction suitable for the whole family. Hunt for the Fallen Star is the first book in the Quantum Trek series.
