A family in Oklahoma finds an amnesiac man injured on their ranch in the dead of night. Though he cannot remember who he is or where he came from, the very feeling of being on solid ground is wholly unfamiliar. Over time, the man and family bond as he recovers and they begin to doubt their initial mistrust of his origins. A scientist witnesses a rogue individual arrive at NASA and turn his colleagues into mindless drones to achieve a feat of engineering beyond anyone's imagination. Similar individuals arrive at various other command and control nodes across the globe. All machinations are revealed in the light when the amnesiac man on a ranch in Oklahoma remembers who he is. And why the inhabitants of Earth are condemned - unless he can stop it.
