The Princesses of Aikman Road and Impoverished Splendor - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

This is a fascinating account of three sisters growing up in Lahore, Pakistan. That they grew up in Pakistan really did not matter. Their house, separated from the outside world by twelve-foot walls and iron gates could have been in China. Their father, a prince, kept them isolated from the real world and although they could trace their lineage back to Genghis Khan, they knew nothing of the history of Pakistan and India. For them there would be no arranged marriages, no purdah, no Muslim traditions and no going to school. They led a very sheltered life under the strict rules of their very autocratic father and in this, their story, you will have the chance to look behind those iron gates and see just how strange their childhood was.
