This book is not about learning vocabulary fast. This book is about learning vocabulary efficiently and effectively. Efficiency means you spend less unnecessary time, energy and stress. You can enjoy it. Effectiveness means you can actually learn and get what you want. You can learn it. What sets this book apart from the rest? I place my focus on knowledge rather than vocab. I want you to grasp the knowledge and learn the vocab accordingly. What is the opposite? Learn the vocab and grasp the knowledge. But that does not seem to work very well in reality. Let me explain. Learning vocab will give you a lot of vocab. True. But you will find it hard to apply them in real situations. Don't take my word for it. Just look at the fact that people learn tons of vocab and still struggle with writing. They think their main problem is lack of vocab. Wrong. In fact, their main problem is lack of knowledge. I have no struggle whatsoever with ideas in writing. Trust me, I probably do not know as many vocab as some others but I am comfortable with the idea generation aspect in writing. You can be the same if you focus on knowledge. Remember, vocab is not the cause, vocab is the result (often unexpected) from getting knowledge. Each English word has its own soul and connotation. Negative or positive. If someone tells you're stupid, that makes you feel bad and angry. If someone tells you that you're amazing! That makes you feel, well, amazing. Game on?
