Inhaltsangabe

Flatlined 2 NGauge is the powerful

autobiography of Dewayne Rembert.

During Dewayne’s early childhood, he was on the

right path, lovingly raised by his grandmother. But by

middle school, her health began to decline, and his life slowly started to take a turn. Exposed to a world marked by absence, anger, and confusion, Dewayne’s view of church and life was often shaped by hypocrisy, judgment, and rejection.

Still, by God’s grace, moments of encouragement and positivity shone through the darkness. Yet by high school, he felt invisible and unworthy, spiraling into destructive choices.

But God had other plans. From managing hotels to becoming a ministry leader, Dewayne’s story is one of transformation, redemption, and hope. Today, he is the founder of Flatline Movement, a pastor, and a husband to his beloved wife, Leslie. Together, they are raising three wonderful children: Devin, Dorian, and Journi.

This is a story of brokenness turned into purpose, of pain reshaped by grace, and of how God can breathe life into what was once flatlined.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Dewayne Rembert grew up in Linden, Alabama. He has been married to his best friend Leslie for sixteen years and they have three wonderful children, Devin 16, Dorian 13, and Journi 6. There were good times in his life but deep down inside he felt the pain and rejection of being raised in the absence of a father. His grandmother became his guardian because at that time his mother was not really involved in his life. Despite seeing himself as “not good enough” during the days of his youth, he somehow was able to move up the corporate ladder in a well-respected hotel chain after graduating from high school. He heard the Gospel for the first time on February 3, 2002, at 11:17 A.M. and his life was never the same again. Later he became the General Manager of the hotel. He served as a deacon for seven years at his church and during that time of service, he was stirred with a passion to reach young people for Christ. This passion to share the Gospel with youth led to God speaking to his Pastor concerning him becoming the new Youth Pastor. That was in 2009. While serving as Youth Pastor at his church, doors began to open for many speaking a serving engagement for youth all over the State. He felt a “new effective” calling on his life. Then God gave him the unction to start The Flatline Movement. The objective of this ministry is to take the Gospel to the streets of Montgomery and other cities throughout Alabama through the use of music, mentoring/discipleship/, and sports. So, he resigned from his job to answer this call by faith in Jesus. Then an interesting opportunity recently presented itself when Dewayne was asked if Flatline would sponsor one of Montgomery’s top high school AAU basketball teams. He has been able to hold Bible studies with this elite group of high school basketball players. God saw fit to move him to Strong Tower at Washington Park in Montgomery, AL as their new youth pastor. It made since he became the Chaplain for Carver High School Football team which was the community high school. He is also the Ministry Resident for Montgomery Baptist Association where he serves now.
