Making Our Own Space (MOOS) is an award-winning design/build program for middle and high school students, operated by Kent State University's Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative. This book is a brief guide to youth engagement and the design/build process, based on the MOOS framework, which can be adapted in lots of different ways for lots of different contexts. The exercises in the guide are a starting point for channeling the creative energy of young people into neighborhood improvements.
