The book is designed as a reference work to enhance the Christian Science Bible Lessons. It brings numerous aspects of Mary Baker Eddy’s development-type structures into the context of the lesson texts, as they pertain to the chapters of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, that are quoted from in the flow of the lessons. The development structures that are correlated in the book with the textbook chapters, are the images and verses of Mary Baker Eddy’s Illustrated poem Christ and Christmas; the Lord’s Prayer stanzas with Mary Baker Eddy’s spiritual interpretation; and the applicable element of the substructures of the Glossary of the textbook. It also provides the global references for the location of the applicable textbook chapter within the biblical City Foursquare, which Mary Baker Eddy referred to as “The City of our God” and also as the “acme” of Christian Science, and brought all of her major works into it.
